It is not illegal to possess pornography in the state of Wisconsin, but it is illegal to possess pornography of a child (a person under the age of 18 years) regardless of where they reside or their sex. Charges include:

Obscene materials, lewd & lascivious behavior

Wisconsin laws prohibit displaying obscene materials, publicly acting in a matter for the purpose of personal sexual gratification, or behaving in a lewd or lascivious manner. This heading covers several crimes including:

  • Obscene e-mail, including sexually explicit e-mail
